Welwitchia University is a private institution of Higher learning currently focussing on Health Sciences, Commerce, Law, Arts, Education and Online programmes. The University opened its doors in September 2013 as a Health Training Centre to complement the Government efforts to address the skills shortage in Namibia and beyond. Welwitchia University’s (WU), guiding principles revolve around a steadfast dedication to growth, sustainability, internationalisation, diverse culture, and innovation in Higher education. As our ambitions soared, we strategically expanded our business horizons, harnessing novel revenue streams. This visionary transformation culminated in the inception of Welwitchia University, an amalgamation of individual companies, each possessing its own distinctive identity, mission, and independent structure. Welwitchia University and its programmes are accredited and recognised in Namibia by the Health Professions Council of Namibia, Namibia Qualification Authority and the National Council of Higher Education among others.
