The University of Namibia (UNAM) is a public higher education institution established through an Act of Parliament with the aim to contribute to the overall development of Namibia, provide higher education, to undertake research, to advance and disseminate knowledge, to provide higher education, to provide extension services, to further training and continuing education, to contribute to the social and economic development of Namibia and to foster relationships with any person or institution, both nationally and internationally. Our twelve (12) campuses enable us to take our core business of teaching, research, innovation and community engagement to the people and deliver on our mandate. UNAM has fostered more than 280 international partnerships and linkages with the aim to contribute to the achievement of national and international development goals through the pursuit of translational research, quality training and innovation. The university attracts international student from 42 countries, and international staff from 47 countries across the globe, of which majority are from African countries.
